Fonts for Inspiration

Here we are!

In this column I will show you the women and men who have been igniting my mind with ideas!

I like following artists - famous and unknown -, architects, and designers around the world to get inspiration to my drawings. It is a great opportunity to find different and interesting techniques and help you to develop your own style.

I hope you enjoy it!

While studying the elements of color, I found some interesting images... Some of them are not quite about the study, but it is really nice to see how color interaction makes all difference in a design!

For more information about Elements of Color, look at "Papers on the table" page.

In class we have been studying the use of color, how incredible can be a composition based in variations of tons, combinations of colors, some saturation changes in a color, etc. Thinking on it, I found this street art very interesting.

I am not sure who the artist is, but I might say that he knows how to create a interesting and powerful composition. I loved each application of color, saw how important is to have a underpainting, the contrast between complementary colors, and the use of shading to give the painting expression and life.

Hey!

This are some images I found really interesting while I was researching for examples of Gestalt Psychology (in the column "Papers on the table"). There are examples of how the use of color, shading, and the art principles can be used to create incredible visual effects.
